Administration of our Mission

The OASFF exists to fund high-quality fellowships in an area of surgery, Open Aortic Surgery, that we feel is disproportionately focused on with new technology, but remains incredibly relevant for long-term solutions in patients with connective tissue disorders. We believe that programs have shifted away from fundamental principles and techniques required to engender the skill-level needed to carry out these high-risk procedures to improve the quality of life for these patients.

We look to partner with centers of excellence with substantive case volume in open aortic surgery. Our fund currently is seeking institutional partners with the volume, operative repetitions, and oversight required to ensure that grants have the governance to drive efficacy in surgical practice.
